Change your address to get a better salary: Indian cities that pay the most

While the unemployment rate is on the rise in India, with only 39.5 percent of the adult population engaged in formal employment as of October, sectors such as software, new digital technologies have spiraled a fresh wave of salary increases, especially for top-level management. According to a study conducted by employment-oriented social networking site LinkedIn, the highest paying titles in the country are chief operating officer, director of engineering, senior program manager, executive director and vice president sales.

LinkedIn used its salary insight tool, which has more than 50 million users, to not only find out which jobs pay the most but also the city-wise concentration of such jobs. Here are the cities where working professionals get paid the most.
