Vivo launches a new Y-series smartphone. It is the Vivo Y19. The Vivo Y19 launches in Vietnam and Thailand. For now, there are no reports on whether the Vivo Y19 will make it to the Indian market or not. Similar to other Vivo Y-series smartphones this one too is a mid-range device.
In Thailand, the Vivo Y19 launches with a price of THB 6,999 (Rd 16,000 approx) while in Vietnam the price of the smartphone is set at Rs 4,990,000 VND (roughly translates around Rs 15,000). The smartphone comes in two colour options — Black and Morning Dew White. The Vivo Y19 looks great for the price it comes for. The smartphone offers a gradient finish and looks premium.
As far as the specifications are concerned the Vivo Y19 comes packed with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display that offers screen-to-body-ratio of 90.3 per cent. The Vivo Y19 is powered by MediaTek Helio P65 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes in only one variant. There’s no information about the microSD card support. Most likely users will not be able to expand the storage space of the Vivo Y19.
The Vivo Y19 includes three cameras on the back and a single image sensor on the front for selfies. On the rear, the smartphone comes with a 16MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide angle secondary camera, and third is a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. The back panel of the smartphone also includes a fingerprint sensor. For selfies, the Vivo Y19 packs 16MP shooter. Similar to other Vivo phones this one too comes with lots of AI features.
The Vivo phone is big on battery. The Y19 comes packed with a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Vivo claims that the smartphone is capable of offering 17 hours of battery backup in single change. The phone supports USB Type C support. On the software front the Vivo Y19 runs Funtouch OS 9.2 based on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.
