Now, in the age of digitization, Aadhaar card can be downloaded using registered mobile number as well. So, if you don’t want to take a print out of your Aadhaar Card, you can download your e-Aadhaar card from your mobile number.

Here is the step by step guide to download Aadhaar Card using one’s registered mobile number:

1] Log in at the official website of the UIDAI — uidai.gov.in;

2] Click on ‘My Aadhaar’ tab on the UIDAI home page;

3] Click on ‘download aadhaar’ option under ‘Get aadhaar’ tab;

4] You will be redirected to a new page;

5] Choose ‘aadhaar number’ option under ‘I have’ section;

6] Enter your 12 digit aadhaar number (UID) and captcha verification code as shown in the page;

7] Click on ‘send OTP’ button;

8] You will receive a one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number or email ID;

9] Enter the OTP received on your mobile number to verify your request. Then, click on ‘validate and download’ button;

10] After the validation, you can successfully download your e-aadhaar card in PDF format which is protected with a password;

11] Enter the password (as per the instructions given) when you open you e-aadhaar PDF document; and

12] Now, you have your e-aadhaar card, which can be printed out for reference.

So, following the above mentioned steps at uidai.gov.in, one can download an Aadhaar card using one’s mobile number.
