Pensioners ALERT: RUSH! Last date to submit digital life certificate tomorrow—Avail doorstep service from SBI, PNB, BoB and other banks

Digital Life Certificate submission last date: There is an alert for retired senior citizens who have not submitted their life certificate yet. Pensioners must know that Sunday I.e. February 28 is the last day to submit ‘Jeevan Pramaan Patra’. Digital Life Certificate is a mandatory document that every pensioner must submit to confirm they are not dead and continue to avail pension facilities.  All pensioners under EPS-95 (Employees Pension Scheme-1995) are required to submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra (JPP) / Digital Life Certificate (DLC) each year to continue drawing a pension.   

Earlier in a major relief to around 35 lakh pensioners, EPFO had extended the deadline for submission of Jeevan Pramaan Patra till February 28, 2021, by pensioners.    

At present, a pensioner can submit the ‘Jeevan Pramaan Patra’ anytime during the year up to November 30. However, last year it had to be extended. The EPF had extended the deadline for the pensioners who could not submit their life certificates till November 30 deadline. Keeping in view the Covid 19 pandemic, the deadline was extended twice—Once till December 31, 2020 and later till February 28, 2021.    

Meanwhile, pensioners should know that Digital life certificate can also book their Digital Life Certificate Service through doorstep banking services of the public sector banks.    

Earier, Indian Banks’ Association had put out an advertisement where it tells senior citizens how to do it easily.

Public sector banks like the State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB), Bank of Baroda (BoB) and others offer the doorstep banking services to its customers.    

You can book now by dialing at the following toll free numbers – 1800 121 3721 and 1800 103 7188. You can also visit the official website www.psbdsb.in. You can also download the DSB Mobile App to book the service at your doorstep.   

The bank’s agent will visit your house to capture the Jeevan Praman. He will complete the process and validate your DLC certificate.     

Jeevan Pramaan or DLC is the life certificate for pensioners.   

PSB Alliance is an umbrella setup of all Public Sector Banks, jointly offering important customer-oriented services envisaged by Government of India under EASE of Banking reforms.    

Doorstep Banking is one such initiative taken by PSB Alliance through which customers can avail major Banking transaction services at their doorstep.
