UP School News Today 2021: Schools up to class 8 closed in UP Uttar Pradesh till April 4 – to be reopened from THIS new date

The recent upsurge in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country has compelled various state governments to close down their schools and other educational institutions yet again. Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government had decided to shut down all schools up to class 8 till March 31, 2021. However, now as per an official, the closure of the schools has been extended till April 4, 2021.

UP school closed news today: The recent upsurge in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country has compelled various state governments to close down their schools and other educational institutions yet again. Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government had decided to shut down all schools up to class 8 till March 31, 2021. However, now as per an official, the closure of the schools has been extended till April 4, 2021 for all students up to class 8.

As per a PTI report, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued the fresh directives on the extension of the closure of the schools during a review meeting at his 5-Kalidas Marg residence.

Incidentally, schools and other educational institutions all over the country were closed since March last year when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. The students then shifted to online mode of education.
After the COVID-19 situation seemed to be in control in the country, several state governments decided to reopen the schools and other educational institutions. CBSE has also announced the date sheets for the board exams to be held offline for the class 10 and class 12 board exam candidates.

However, the recent rise in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country has led to the extension of the closure for schools in Uttar Pradesh.

An official spokesperson also said that in Uttar Pradesh to ensure the safety of the students for higher classes, it has been ordered to follow the COVID-19 protocol.

On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, ten more COVID-19 fatalities were reported from the state of Uttar Pradesh that pushed the death toll to 8,800. Again, with 918 new cases, the figures of COVID-19 infected rose to 6,15,996.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has instructed the officials to step up testing. He also stated that special focus should be given on old age homes, orphanages, residential schools and other such places.
