No quarantine in these countries for fully vaccinated Indians!
With COVID-19 vaccines being administered across the world, more and more nations are opening up for travel, easing travel restrictions to a great extent. While most are open only to fully vaccinated travellers, some are open to unvaccinated ones as well, provided they follow all the safety protocols.
If you are fully vaccinated and are keen to know which countries you can visit without undergoing quarantine, here is a list of countries that will help you plan an international vacation at ease.
Quarantine is not mandatory for Indian travellers, provided they are able to show proof of a full vaccination report. To meet this criteria, individuals will need to show proof of being inoculated with both doses of COVID-19 vaccines that have been approved by WHO, with at least 14 days passed since the last dose. The new travel rule had been set in motion from September 4 as per the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi.
Ireland has resumed processing of short-stay entry visas. Indian travellers who have been fully vaccinated with Covishield can now apply for entry visas to Ireland. These travellers will also not be required to undergo quarantine upon arrival. Reports have it that if you are able to show proof of vaccination, you will be exempt from COVID test as well as quarantine requirement.
If you are keen to travel to Austria for a vacation, you will no longer be required to undergo mandatory quarantine upon reaching the country, provided you are fully vaccinated. As per the Austrian authorities, those who are able to show proof of full vaccination, will not be required to register for pre-travel clearance, and will also not be required to undergo self-isolation. Further, a traveller will be considered fully vaccinated if he has completed 14 days, post taking the second dose of the recognised vaccine.
Abu Dhabi has also announced removal of mandatory quarantine rules for fully-vaccinated international travellers. The said move comes after the UAE government approved issuing tourist visas to fully vaccinated travellers. The government took to Twitter to break this news, and stated, “Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has approved removing the need to quarantine for all vaccinated travellers arriving into Abu Dhabi from all international destinations and updated travel procedures, effective from Sunday, 5 September 2021.”
Fully vaccinated Indian travellers, who have taken both the shots of Covishield, can visit Switzerland without undergoing RT-PCR test. Fully vaccinated Indian travellers will also not be required to undergo quarantine upon arrival. However, since there is no direct flight between both the countries currently, you will need to fly via Amsterdam or Paris.
