Indian stock markets closed flat with positive bias on Monday. Equity benchmarks Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex ended with gains of 10.50 points at 18,125.40 and 145.43 points to 60,967.05 on the market closing on Monday. Nifty Bank was the only out performer, as the banking index scripted history by going past 41,000 for the first time ever. It closed with nearly 900 points or over 2% gains at 41,192.40.
The Asian Markets started Tuesday on positive note as the major indices were trading in the green on early hours on Monday. Japanese Nikkei 225 was up 500 points to 29,100, while Shanghai Composite Index was trading falt with 4 points gain at 3613. The Asia Dow Index USD was also trading half a per cent above at 3946.
Meanwhile, in the US market, all important stock market indices closed in the green. Dow Jones ended Monday at 64 points up at 35,741. Nasdaq composite and S&P 500 gained 0.90% and 0.47% to 15,226 and 4,566.
