New Delhi: A landslide in a Dadam mining zone in the Bhiwani region of Haryana has led to casualties while many are feared missing.
The Haryana police said that two are injured and several are missing, reported news agency ANI.
According to ABP News sources, as many as 20 vehicles are being reported to be trapped in the debris. The rescue operation is underway.
Meanwhile, Haryana Agriculture Minister JP Dalal has reached the site. he said that some people have died and figures cannot be provided yet.
“Some people have died. I cannot provide the exact figures as of now. A team of doctors has arrived. We will try to save as many people as possible,” Dalal told ANI.
Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar also expressed condolences on the unfortunate incident. “Saddened by the unfortunate landslide accident in Dadam mining zone at Bhiwani. I am in constant touch with the local administration to ensure swift rescue operations and immediate assistance to the injured,” Khattar tweeted.
