How to check Aadhaar enrolment status online

As a citizen of India, it is mandatory to enrol and apply for an Aadhaar Card to check your status online or send an SMS. For checking the Aadhaar enrolment status you have to get an Enrolment ID (EID) number. When an individual opts for an update or new Aadhaar card, an Enrolment ID (or EID) of a 14-digit number generated. The EID number will be provided at the top of the acknowledgement slip that will be received from the enrolment centre or the UIDAI website. To apply or enrol for the Aadhaar is not possible online. A person will have to visit the Aadhaar Enrolment Centre.

STEPS TO CHECK AADHAAR STATUS ONLINE WITH ENROLMENT ID:

Step 1: Visit the link https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/CheckAadhaarStatus.

Step 2: Next enter the enrolment ID or EID.

Step 3: Provide the Captcha verification.

Step 4: Next, opt for the ‘Check Status’ tab.

Step 5: The step-wise status of the Aadhaar generation is displayed in Draft Stage > Payment Stage > Verification Stage > Validation Stage > Completed.

Step 6: If you have lost the EID number, follow the procedure of retrieving the Aadhaar EID below.

STEPS TO RETRIEVE AADHAAR EID NUMBER ONLINE:

Step 1: Go to the link https://resident.uidai.gov.in/lost-uideid.

Step 2: Provide name, mobile number and email address.

Step 3: Next enter the Captcha verification.

Step 4: Tap on the generate ‘OTP’ option.

Step 5: Once you get the OTP, enter the OTP.
