Saudi Arabia lifts COVID-travel ban from its citizens travelling to India

The country has also increased the time frame of vaccination for Saudi Arabian citizens, who wish to travel abroad. Earlier, people were required to get their third booster dose within three months of the second. However, this time has now been increased to eight months.

Saudi Arabia has finally lifted its travel-related curbs from India, Turkey, Ethiopia and Vietnam. Now, the citizens of Saudi can finally travel to these countries without any restrictions. The move comes right after a week the nation dropped some more measures related to Coronavirus. This includes, wearing of face masks indoors and vaccination proof requirement to enter public places. However, the Kingdom has said people will still need to wear face masks in the Grand Mosque in Mecca and other places under the Saudi Public Health Authority Weqaya.

The country has also increased the time frame of vaccination for Saudi Arabian citizens, who wish to travel abroad. Earlier, people were required to get their third booster dose within three months of the second. However, this time has now been increased to eight months.
Apparently, the Kingdom lifted a number of pandemic-related restrictions earlier this year in March. From mask mandates and social distancing to PCR tests and quarantine rules , all were dropped.

Travellers planning a trip to Saudi Arabia must download the ‘Tawakkalna’ mobile app within 8 hours of arrival in the Kingdom. They must also have valid medical insurance covering all COVID-19 costs for the entire duration of stay.

Besides, travellers are also required to fill an online registration immunization information form that must be filled within 72 hours before departure.

Those non-vaccinated, will need to provide proof of a negative RT-PCR test, taken within the 72 hours of travel on departure.
