American promoter files case against Kapil Sharma for alleged breach of contract

Renowned comedian Kapil Sharma has gotten himself into a legal soup once again, this time due to an alleged breach of contract.

According to a report in Times of India, Amit Jaitly, a well-known promoter of shows in the USA, accused Kapil of not performing at a show even after being paid for it.

Jaitly informed that in 2015, Kapil had signed and was paid for six shows in North America. However, he failed to perform at one of the six shows, but had promised to make up for the loss.

However, the promoter stated that not only did Kapil not turn up for the show, but they could not get in touch with him as well, and hence, they decided to finally move court against the comic.

He further mentioned that the case is still pending in the NY court and they will definitely be taking legal action against Kapil.

Kapil or his team hasn’t commented on the report yet, and no official statement has been released either.

Meanwhile, after wrapping up his show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, Kapil took to Canada with his team, including Krushna Abhishek, Rajiv Thakur, Chandan Prabhakar, Kiku Sharda and Sumona Chakravarti. They have been performing at several venues throughout the country, and are slated to perform in New York in the second week of July.
