Rajasthan govt colleges to get 50 new courses from this session

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan government colleges will have 50 new courses from this academic session with the department of higher education issuing a list of courses on Saturday.

These courses will start in 49 co-educational and one girls’ college. These mostly include science and commerce courses like Botany, Zoology, Urdu, Mathematics, Chemistry, Public Administration, Home Science, Geography, Sociology, Hindi Literature, Economic Administration and Financial Management among others.

The courses have been started in colleges in places like Jaipur, Pali, Nagaur, Bharatpur, Churu, Dausa, Sikar, Sirohi, Sawai Madhopur, Dholpur, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Alwar, Ajmer, Karauli, Banswara, Dangurpur, Pratapgarh, Rajasmand, Jhunjhunu among other places.

The department of college education has also proposed to build 115 lab classrooms for courses with practical subjects. The department of college has also said that guest faculty should be hired for these courses if any of the colleges do not have faculty and permanent faculty is available to teach.

The admission process of undergraduate courses for the academic session 2022-2023 started from June 27 in government colleges across the state and students can apply till July 9.

The Department College Education, Rajasthan said that the last date for online verification of application is July 11.

On July13, the final merit list and waiting list will be published and July 18 is the last date for submission of fees and verification of documents. The first list of admission will be published on July 19 and allocation of subjects will also take place on the same day. According to the admission schedule, classes will tentatively start from July 20.
