EPS pensioners note! Generate, submit JPP life certificate in few steps using FaceRD app; here’s how

Pensioners under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995 are required to submit a Jeevan Pramaan (JPP) or Digital Life Certificate (DLC) once a year to disbursing agencies like banks, post offices etc following which their pension is credited to their account.

Earlier, the pensioners had to physically appear before the disbursing agencies in order to produce the life certificate, but the requirement caused inconvenience for many aged or infirm pensioners. This changed with the introduction Digital Life Certificate in 2014. But the pensions need to generate the DLC in order to submit it.

Where & How may pensioners generate Digital Life Certificate

The pensioners may either generate the digital certificate themselves using UMANG or FaceRD apps or get it by physically visiting district offices, pension disbursing banks and post offices.

Online

Pensioner can download the JP application (Generate DLC themselves) from the JP Portal https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/app/download & install client application on android based smart Phone/tablet or Windows PC/Laptop for DLC generation.

Physical visit

Pensioner can visit any nearest Centre (having facilities for digital services) like the Citizen Service Centre (CSC), the Government Office /Banks designated for generating the DLCs and get themselves registered online using their services. Pensioner might have to pay nominally for this). The All India List of such CSCs (name & address) in various States.

FaceRD app

EPFP recently tweeted “Face Authentication technology for Digital Life Certificates (DLC) of EPS’95 pensioners through Mobile App”.

Benefits :

– Enable filing of DLC by pensioners who face difficulties in getting their biometrics (Fingerprint & Iris) captured due to old age or health issues.

-No reliance on any externally registered device.

-Pensioners living abroad can also submit their DLC.

How to submit DLCs through Mobile

-Download Aadhaar FaceRD App from Google Playstore

-Download Face (android) app from Jeevan Pramaan Portal

-Complete authentication

-Pensioner authentication

-Choosing sanctioning authority. disbursing agency Aadhaar, mobile. PPO number etc.

-Face scan and submit

-Upon approval, successful life certificate updation & in case of rejection.
