In the previous session, benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty bounced back to close over 2% higher on buying in banking, metal and IT shares amid positive trends in global equity markets. 

Stocks to buy today, October 6: Stock market on October 6 is likely to open in green as SGX Nifty – which is traded on the Singapore stock exchange – was trading above 17400 after gaining nearly 90 points or 0.49% higher at 8:30 am. Asian trade markets also showed a mixed response in the early trade. While Japan’s NIKKEI 225 gained 0.91% in early trade, Korea Composite Stock Price Index or KOSPI Index gained over 1.25%.

In the previous session, benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty bounced back to close over 2% higher on buying in banking, metal and IT shares amid positive trends in global equity markets. The 30-share BSE Sensex spurted 1,276.66 points or 2.25% to settle at 58,065.47 with 27 of its shares ending in the green. During the day, it zoomed 1,311.13 points or 2.30% to 58,099.94. The broader NSE Nifty rallied 386.95 points or 2.29% to end at 17,274.30 as 48 of its constituents advanced.
