Jeevan Pramaan Patra: EPFO issues new guidelines for pensioners – what should you know?

The Jeevan Pramaan Certificate is the Digital Life Certificate of  Government of India’s Pension Scheme.

Jeevan Pramaan Patra: The pensioners can submit their annual life certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra online. Many pensioners have already submitted their life certificates online as those who are aged 80 years and above can submit it between October 1 and November 30. 

The employee provident fund organization (EPFO) has informed that, there is no need to submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra in November 2022 if your pension was started less than a year ago, or you have submitted it in December 2021.

How to apply for Digital Life Certificate 

Step 1: Download the Doorstep Banking App for submitting a life certificate. 

Step 2: Choose your bank at home (doorstep service). 

Step 3: Enter and validate your pension account number. 

Step 4: Make the payment. 

Step 5: Submit your request. 

The person will receive an SMS with the agent’s name. 

The agent will visit your home to finish the Life Certificate filing process.

What is the Jeevan Pramaan Certificate? 

The Jeevan Pramaan Certificate is the Digital Life Certificate of  Government of India’s Pension Scheme. It is an Aadhaar-based digital service for pensioners that are supported by the biometric authentication system and is an additional facility for submitting Life Certificates for pensioners.
