Curfew in Mumbai till January 2, Gathering of 5 or More People Prohibited

Mumbai Police has announced a curfew in the city till January 2 and prohibited gatherings of five or more people in order to avoid any kind of disruptions in public order.

A ban has also been imposed on weapons, firearms, swords, and other weapons from December 4 to January 2.

Sloganeering, demonstrations, and performances of songs in public places have also been prohibited during this time.

What else is Banned till Jan 2:

-Bursting and playing loudspeakers, instruments, bands and crackers.

-Processions on all kind of marriage ceremonies, funeral meetings, on the way to cemeteries, legal meetings of companies (at major scales), clubs, cooperative societies and other associations.

-Social gatherings, at mass level, around clubs, theatres or places of public entertainment film in or around any place, gathering for the purpose of watching plays or programmes, acts.

-Gatherings of people around courts and government offices and around local bodies performing government or semi-government fuctions, meeting for schools, colleges and other educational institutions for educational activisties, factories, general business have been banned too.

-Apart from the above activities, ban has also been imposed for meetings for business and solicitation in shops and establishments, demonstration of other gatherings and processions.

The press release issued by the Mumbai Police stated that strict action will be taken against those found violating the orders.
