Things That You Should Never Do After Sunset

1. Cutting Or Combing Your Hair

It is believed that women should not cut or comb their hair after sunset. They should also not sleep with their hair open. It is said that women who do these tasks at night get affected by negative energies.

2. Do Not Wash Utensils

Hindu mythology states that one should keep their kitchen clean before sleeping, but in any case, if they are unable to do so, they should place the dirty wishes somewhere else other than in the kitchen. The kitchen is the auspicious place of any house and should not contain any dirty things. It is also believed that people who sleep leaving dirty vessels in the kitchen have to face poverty and bad luck.

3. Do Not Donate

Donations are considered auspicious in Hinduism. On the other hand, it is also believed that donating things such as milk, sugar or salt at night time is considered a bad omen. Doing such practices, one might have to experience financial hardships and instability in life.

4. Do Not Cut Your Nails

We all must have heard our mothers telling us not to cut or shape our nails during the night. Popular beliefs say that Goddess Lakshmi pays visits to houses during the night and cutting hair and nails are believed as offering dirt to the Goddess which should be avoided in any case.

Do Not Clean Your House

Cleaning a house with a broom in the morning is considered auspicious, while on the other hand, brooming your house at night is believed to bring bad luck and mishappenings. Goddess Lakshmi does not stay in the house where cleaning is done after sunset.
