Airtel vs Jio prepaid plans offering 3GB daily 5G data, unlimited calling and other benefits compared

Airtel and Jio are the only two mobile operators in India which are currently offering 5G services. The Telecom operators have deployed their 5G services across more than 3000 cities and twins and are aiming to cover significant Indian cities by December 2023. Both Jio and Airtel users can access fifth-generation high-speed internet free on select prepaid plans if they are under 5G connectivity area.

However, offering 5G data speed also means that the users will end up exhausting their daily data quota quickly. Or even if you are not using 5G data, 1GB daily data cap is not enough for everyday internet use. Even 2GB daily internet data sometimes feels less to many mobile internet users. So, to help heavy data users, both Jio and Airtel offer 3GB daily data plans with unlimited calling, SMS and even 5G benefits. 

Let’s take a closer look at the Jio and Airtel plans that offer the daily benefit of 3GB data and compare which telco offers better value.

Airtel prepaid plans with 3GB daily data

Airtel Rs 399 plan: With this recharge plan, users get daily 3GB high-speed internet, unlimited calling, 100 daily SMS for 28 days validity. Additionally, benefits include access to Xstream App, Apollo 24|7 circles and more.

Airtel Rs 499 plan: This plan offers similar benefits to the above plans. Users get 3GB daily data, unlimited calling SMS and more for 28 days validity. Additionally, users also get a 3-month subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile. 

Airtel Rs 699 plan: This plan comes with a longer validity of 56 days. Along with unlimited calling and data benefits, users get a subscription of Amazon Prime Membership and added benefits. 

Users can get the 3GB daily data recharge plans through the Airtel Thanks app or official website. Notably, all the above plans offer unlimited 5G data access to eligible users.

Jio prepaid plans with 3GB daily data

Jio Rs 219 plan: Now Reliance Jio offers 14 days pack validity with this plan and provides 3GB daily data, unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. Additionally, Jio users also get access to all Jio apps including JioCinema, JioTV and others.

Jio Rs 399 plan: Under this plan Jio users get a validity of 28 days and can access similar benefits of data, calling and SMS like the above plan. 

Jio Rs 999 plan: This plan offers a longer validity of 84 days and includes similar benefits like unlimited calling, 100 daily SMS, and access to Jio apps. 

Jio also offers 5G access with its 3GB daily data prepaid plans. Users can recharge with these plans through My Jio app. 

But which telco offers better value plans? Well, both the telecoms offer similar benefits, like unlimited calling, 5G access and more. However, while Airtel gets a point for offering OTT benefits of Disney+ Hotstar and Amazon Prime, Jio plans are cheaper compared to its rival.
