7th Pay Commission Latest News: Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Madhya Pradesh government is planning to give big gifts to around 4 lakh state government employees before Holi. It is learnt that Madhya Pradesh finance department has also started preparations to set things in motion to ensure that these employees get their arrears well before the festival, said Zee news report.  

It is also reported that the state government can increase the Dearness Allowance (DA )of the employees by 13 percent. This will provide the much-needed breather to the state government employees and lakhs of them will be benefited. 

However, a final decision in the regard will be taken after completing the required paperwork, it said.  

The state government plans to clear pending 75% arrears of Seventh Pay scale by March 2021.  

Earlier, the state government had suspended payment of the last installment of the arrears of the seventh pay scale in view of the COVID-19 crisis. The arrear was to be paid in May 2020.  

The state government had paid 25 percent of arrears last year. 

Departmental officials say that the remaining arrears were to be paid in three installments. The first two installments have been provided. Now, 75% of the outstanding installment has to be paid.  

At the same time, there is a lot of speculation that the Shivraj Singh government can increase the DA of employees by 13 percent. If the government makes this announcement, then lakhs of employees of the state could access this benefit. 

All eyes are on the state budget which will be presented on March 2. If the government makes these above-mentioned announcements, then lakhs of employees of the state could access this benefit.
