Rajasthan: Schools to reopen with teachers from June 7

JAIPUR: For the first time since lockdown, government schools will start functioning with teachers from June 7. Orders for the same have been issued by the directorate of secondary education, Bikaner, on Friday.

Principals or a few teachers of schools will open them on June 7, and, from June 8 onwards, they will start functioning with 50% teachers present. The attendance schedule will be based on rotation. Many government teachers are stuck in their homes due to the absence of public transport.

But when the public transport starts to operate from June 10, onwards outstation teachers will also have to be present at their respective schools. From June 8 to 19, about 50% of the staff will work on the field and 50% in school. Due to ongoing lockdown, the government has started the ‘Aao Ghar Se Padhen-2’ initiative under which WhatsApp groups will be formed. Parents and students will be called and study material will be sent online.

All class teachers have been asked to complete the process of forming WhatsApp groups by June15 connecting students. Like last year, students can download their promotion certificates from ‘Shala Darpan’ by June 19.
