Telangana Government on Monday has decided not to reopen the schools and colleges in the state from July 1. Classes will be held online and no private schools will be allowed to increase the fee this year.
Telangana Government on Monday has decided not to reopen the schools and colleges in the state for now. Classes, however, would resume in online mode from July 1, 2021. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has instructed that online classes would begin for students of ‘KG to PG’ on Monday. No date for reopening of schools and colleges in the state has been announced as yet. However, the schools have been instructed to only charge tutition fees.
Sharing the information, State Education minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy informed the reported that online classes would resume for the time being in view of he pandemic. Accordingly, students from primary to the post-graduate level would continue learning only in online mode. In view of the on-going pandemic, she has also urged the private schools to collect the fees month-wise as per the earlier order.

Telangana School Education Department has issued orders instructing all private schools to not increase any kind of fees during academic year 2021-22. It even mentions that these schools are to charge only tuition fee on monthly basis. Same orders were issued last year and have been extended for the ensuing year too taking into account the online classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile the state announced its Class 12 or TS Inter 2nd Year Results 2021 on Monday. All of the registered 4.7 lakh students were declared pass by the Board of Intermediate Education. As for admission to the Degree colleges or DOST, the notice announced that they would begin soon. Online registration would begin in due course of time on dost.cgg.gov.in.
