AYouTuber from Egypt Siamand Mustafa is facing legal action after he appeared to turn the light show at Great Pyramids in a gender reveal stunt. The YouTuber, who is expecting his second child with his wife, captured moments from the gender reveal stunt and shared them on his YouTube channel, which boasts 6.9 million followers. Mustafa decided to use the light show at the Pyramids to announce the gender of his unborn child with his YouTube family.
In the video, Mustafa can be seen standing in front of the Pyramids with his family and friends. Then the light show begins and the Pyramids lights up in blue, indicating the couple will be welcoming a baby boy.
The YouTube video has over 4 million views. Mustafa claimed that he spent many days arranging the permissions required to paint the Pyramids blue for his unborn child’s gender-reveal party, according to a report on Mirror.
Mohamed Abdelaziz, who runs the Sound and Light Company that arranges all celebrations and events that are held at the Pyramids, called the video fake. “A few days ago, the Pyramids were lit up in blue and orange in coordination between the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Ministry of Health on the occasion of World Liver Day, as well as on the occasion of the celebration of the elimination of Hepatitis C in Egypt,” he told Mirror.
He also mentioned that the Pyramids are not used for advertising. “There are no private parties that take place in the pyramids area,” he added.
“The fictitious act committed by the Syrian YouTuber, promoting a misleading video of a gender party for his newborn lighting the Giza Pyramids, is nothing but a clear lie aimed at false fame,” Walid al-Batouty, an advisor to the former Minister of Tourism, told Mirror.
