Shinhan Bank enters home loan business

Mumbai: Shinhan Bank India, local arm of a South Korean lender, is offering home loans at 6.5% onwards per year for salaried and self-employed professionals.

Customers can transfer their existing loans to avail the rate. The maximum tenor for a home loan is 30 years. The equated monthly instalment (EMI) is Rs 632 per lakh.

The bank is aiming to expand home loans in urban centres.
