Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari in an interior space comparison

Mahindra XUV700 was one of the anticipated SUV from the manufacturer this year. Mahindra surprised everyone with the pricing of XUV700 and it received an overwhelming response from customers for the same reason. It now competes with cars like Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus in the segment. Deliveries for Mahindra XUV700 has already started. Last week we featured a video on our website about the comparison of space offered in Alcazar and XUV700. Here we have another video that compares the comfort and interior space and features in Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700.

The video has been uploaded by Power On Wheel on their YouTube channel. The vlogger compares the space and features in both the SUVs. he starts with Tata Safari’s third row seat. The Safari used in the video is the seven seater version as XUV700 does not get a 6-seat version. The seats tumble down and the vlogger gets into the car. Immediately he mentions that the space is no sufficient in this row. The passenger sitting here gets AC vents and 2 USB ports along with a cup holder and space to keep small objects.

In XUV700, the vlogger sits slightly more comfortably. The passenger gets AC vents and knob to control the airflow is also given here. Then he moves to the second row and says, the Safari feels a lot more comfortable here. It is offering ample amount of space and there is an armrest in the middle. The AC vents are mounted on the B Pillars and Safari feels airy. In Mahindra XUV700, he felt the cabin feels a bit more premium and offers same huge amount of space. The AC vents for rear passengers are on the middle and it gets USB Type C charging ports as well.

The padding on Safari’s inner door handle felt a lot more premium than in XUV700. In the front row seats, Mahindra XUV 700 offered a lot more premium features than in Safari. Safari gets a floating style touch screen infotainment system, premium speakers from JBL, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver seat, multi-function steering wheel and so on.

The seating position felt commanding and vlogger managed to find a perfect driving position in the Safari. Mahindra XUV700 felt a lot more premium from the inside. Vlogger mentioned that he felt that the Mahindra XUV700’s seats offer a better support. The driver seat can be adjusted electrically and gets memory function as well. However the positioning of the buttons to adjust the seats are not the best according to the vlogger. Mahindra offers biggest panoramic sunroof in the segment and other connected car features as well.

Vlogger personally did not like Tata’s connected car feature iRA. Tata also misses out on features like a fully digital instrument cluster, larger touchscreen entertainment system, dual zone climate control and autonomous features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, 360 degree camera, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and many more. Mahindra XUV700 is also the only SUV in the segment to offer an AWD system as an option with the SUV.
