PF alert: Transfer EPF online; step-by-step details

It is essential to link all the PF accounts under a single Universal Account Number (UAN), which is allotted by EPFO to EPF members.

Provident Fund (PF) members can now transfer Employees Provident Fund (EPF) accounts online, Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has said.

EPF transfer is required when an employee changes office or organisation.

It is essential to link all the PF accounts under a single Universal Account Number (UAN), which is allotted by EPFO to EPF members.

EPF TRANSFER ONLINE

You need to visit the unified member portal – https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/

You need to log in with UAN and password.

Once you have logged in, please go to ‘Online Services’ and click ‘One Member – One EPF Account (Transfer Request).’

You need to verify ‘Personal Information’ and ‘PF Account’ for present employment.

Please click on ‘Get Details’, PF account details of previous employment will appear.

Choose either your previous employer or current employer for attesting form.

Click on ‘Get OTP’ to receive OTP on UAN registered mobile number.

Enter ‘OTP’ and click ‘Submit’.

Notably, EPFO never asks its members to share their personal details like Aadhaar, PAN, UAN, Bank Account or OTP over the phone or on social media.

EPFO has added 14.60 lakh net subscribers in December 2021 with 9.11 lakh new members.
