Taxpayers not under QRMP scheme

“Attention GST Taxpayers who are not under QRMP Scheme! File your GSTR-1 Return for the month of February, 2022 before March 11, 2022,” CBIC has tweeted from its official Twitter handle.

e-commerce operators

The CBIC in a consequent tweet noted the last date for the e-commerce operators. The tweet said, “Attention E-Commerce Operators who are required to collect Tax at Source under GST! File your GSTR-8 Return for the month of February, 2022 by March 10, 2022.”

TDS under GST

Again, for the taxpayers who are required to deduct tax at source (TDS), the CBIC tweeted, “Attention GST Taxpayers who are required to deduct Tax at Source (TDS) under GST! Due date to file your GSTR-7 Return for the month of February, 2022 is March 10, 2022.”

Central excise return for registered manufacturers

The last date to file Central Excise Return for the registered manufacturers is March 10, 2022. In this regard, the CBIC tweeted, “Attention Registered Manufacturers under Central Excise Act, 1944! Due date to file your Central Excise Return for the month of February, 2022 is March 10, 2022.”

In this context, the Income Tax (IT) payers must note that the IT Department on Thursday extended the IT return filing date. Taxpayers can now file ITR till March 15, 2022. The decision was taken considering the difficulties reported by the taxpayers and other stakeholders in the filing of Income Tax Returns and various reports of audit for the Assessment Year 2021-22 under the Income-tax Act, 1961. Earlier the last date was December 31, 2021.
