Elon Musk Makes Reference To Bitcoin Inventor ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’ In Cryptic Post

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared a cryptic post on Twitter Wednesday, making a reference to Satoshi Nakamoto, the name used by the presumed pseudonymous person or persons who developed bitcoin.

New Delhi: SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared a cryptic post on Twitter Wednesday, making a reference to Satoshi Nakamoto, the name used by the presumed pseudonymous person or persons who developed bitcoin.

Musk posted a picture in which the names of four companies – Samsung, Toshiba, Nakamichi, and Motorola – are mentioned. He encircled ‘Sa’ in Samsung, ‘Toshi’ in Toshiba, ‘Naka’ in Nakamichi, and ‘Moto’ in Motorola. Together, the letters read ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’.

Twitter users were quick to spot this, and posted interesting comments.

The identity of the inventor of bitcoin is not known. Satoshi Nakamoto is said to have authored the bitcoin white paper, and to have devised the first blockchain database.

In November 2017, a former SpaceX intern speculated that Musk was Satoshi Nakamoto, according to a post made in American online publishing platform Medium. A week later, Musk denied he was Nakamoto.

A Twitter user shared a picture of a young Musk sitting next to a man, with the caption, ‘Elon is this you and Satoshi Nakamoto?’.

Another Twitter user shared a picture of Craig Steven Wright, an Australian computer scientist and businessman who has publicly claimed to be the main part of the team that created bitcoin and the identity behind Satoshi Nakamoto.

However, much of the media and the cryptocurrency community have regarded these claims as false.
