He also said that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will consider conducting the Common Entrance Test (CUET) twice a year from 2023.

Kumar further said that top private universities are interested in using CUET for admitting students in undergraduate courses.

Last week, the UGC Chairman said that state, private, and deemed universities will use CUET scores for admission to undergraduate programmes.

He further said that with CUET in place, there will be no need for students to write multiple exams for admission in UG programmes, news agency ANI reported.

He claimed that with CUET in place, students do not have to worry about achieving sky-high results in the 12th standard and do not have to write several tests.
