BJP Wants To Murder Kejriwal After Poll Defeat In Punjab: Sisodia On CM House Vandalisation

New Delhi: Soon after several workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reportedly vandalised Delhi Chief Minister’s residence over his remarks against Bollywood movie “The Kashmir Files”, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia lashed out at the saffron party and alleged that it wants to ‘murder’ Arvind Kejriwal.

Speaking to reporters during a press conference, Sisodia said that due to AAP’s victory and BJP’s defeat in Punjab, BJP wants to murder Arvind Kejriwal.

“As it could not defeat Arvind Kejriwal in the Punjab polls, the BJP now wants to kill him. Today’s attack on the chief minister’s house shows that the BJP, with the help of the police, wants to kill Kejriwal. We will lodge a formal complaint against this,” Sisodia alleged.

Just because BJP cannot defeat Kejriwal, they are trying to kill him, Sisodia said adding that today’s incident was a pre-orchestrated plan of the BJP to murder the CM.

Aam Aadmi Party’s reaction came hours after a protest at Kejriwal’s residence earlier by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the saffron, during which CCTV cameras and barriers were allegedly damaged by the protesters.

Scores of activists of the BJYM, led by its President Tejasvi Surya, staged a protest near Kejriwal’s residence at Civil Lines, demanding an apology from him for allegedly mocking Kashmiri Pandits, with the AAP alleging vandalism during the demonstration.

Earlier in a tweet, Sisodia claimed that anti-social elements attacked and damaged CCTV cameras and security barriers at Kejriwal’s residence in Delhi. The boom barrier at the gate was also broken, he said.

BJYM national Secretary Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, however, said the workers and leaders of the organisation staged a protest near Kejriwal’s residence but did not resort to vandalism.

Both AAP and BJP have been trading barbs over ‘The Kashmir Files’ movie, with Kejriwal recently attacking the saffron party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Delhi Assembly over the issue.
