Nation Will Get New Doctors In Record Numbers: PM Modi Dedicates First Charitable Super Speciality Hospital In Kutch

PM Modi has inaugurated the first charitable super-speciality hospital in Kutch.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday dedicated the KK Patel Super Speciality Hospital at Bhuj in Gujarat to the nation via video conferencing. 

Speaking at the event, PM Modi said: “People of Bhuj affected by earthquake are now writing a new fate with Kutch’s first super speciality hospital. This 200-bedded hospital will provide people with affordable & quality medical facilities.”

He mentioned that two decades ago Gujarat had 9 medical colleges, now it has one AIIMS and over 3 dozen medical colleges.

“India will get record number of doctors in future due to decision of having one medical college in each district of the country,” the Prime Minister highlighted

The 200 bedded hospital has been built by Shree Kutchi Leva Patel Samaj, Bhuj. 

As per the Prime Minister’s Office, this is the first charitable super speciality hospital in Kutch.

“It provides super speciality services such as Interventional Cardiology (Cathlab), Cardiothoracic Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Nephrology, Urology, Nuclear Medicine, Neuro Surgery, Joint Replacement and other supportive services like laboratory, radiology etc,” PMO stated.

It was further informed that the hospital makes medical super speciality services easily accessible for the people of the region, at an affordable price.
