In the past few years, ATM card frauds are on the rise. While banks and the Reserve Bank of India have taken numerous steps to make digital payments safe, sometimes it’s the innocuous mistakes of cardholders that invite ATM fraud. So, if you are an ATM card user, you need to stay cautious while transacting at your nearby ATM or at online stores.

So, if you are an ATM card user, you need to stay cautious while transacting at your nearby ATM or at online stores.

You should always use your hand while using an ATM card at the ATM or POS machine.

SBI pointed out that you should not share PIN/Card details with anyone.

Don’t write PIN on card

Bank customers should not write the PIN on the card. In case of card loss, anyone will be able to misuse your card with the details.

According to SBI, customers, should not respond to text messages, emails or calls asking for your card details or PIN.

Look for spy cameras

Before you start your transaction at an ATM, you should lookout for spy cameras that are installed by thugs to take a peek at the PIN of the user.
