Unvaccinated travellers to Cambodia to follow 7-day quarantine period

Synopsis

For all travellers who are not fully vaccinated, quarantine period has been reduced to one week instead of the mandatory 14 days. Also, fully vaccinated travellers no longer

Cambodia opened its borders for fully vaccinated travellers last November after seeing a very low rate of new COVID-19 infections in the country. Earlier, travellers who were not fully vaccinated were required to quarantine for two weeks upon arrival. The Health Ministry recently made an announcement that now the quarantine period has been reduced to one week instead of two.

The mandatory COVID-19 test for fully vaccinated visitors will also get dropped. As per the new announcement, air travellers who are not fully vaccinated will have to get a Rapid Antigen Test at the end of their quarantine period.
Those arriving to Cambodia by land will be required to take a Rapid Antigen Test both on arrival as well as on the last day of the quarantine week. For those planning a trip to Cambodia, the country also restored its visa on arrival services in March.

Cambodia constantly recorded a low number of COVID-19 cases, so travellers who had the country on their bucket list can now travel in peace. After the last two years of decline in the number of international visitors, Cambodia is all set to restart their tourism scene.

If you are a first-timer in Cambodia, here are the places you can visit: Angkor Wat (Angkor Archaeological Park), the capital city of Phnom Penh, the culturally rich Siem Reap, the riverside town of Kampot, the floating market and village of Tonlé Sap, the lush green Koh Kong Conservation Corridor, Kratie for an authentic Mekong Delta experience, and many other culturally and historically rich places.
