Additionally, they can also purchase the product directly from the app or brand’s page.

Currently, this feature is only available for U.S users.

Updated editing tools for Reels

Instagram has recently updated its editing tools for Reels. With this update, you can re-arrange and trim video clips within the Reels.

To edit clips, go to Instagram app and open Reels. Record a video or upload a video. Go to ‘preview video clips’ and tap ‘edit clips’ on the button left corner. To enter the reorder mode tap on the reorder button and use drag and drop to reorder your video clips.

New Hashtag feature

Recently, to support and fundraise for important social causes, Instagram has launched new hashtag options. Simply put, Instagram defines which hashtags are relevant and represent the actual social causes.

New messaging features

@Silent

By using ‘@silent’ you can send DMs, but it won’t send a push notification to the person. This new feature is useful if you don’t want to disturb another person late at night.

Quick sent

When scrolling the feed and you find the content you want to DM to your friends, long tap on the ‘Arrow’ icon and it will popup icons of your friends. Tap on their avatar to quickly send the link into their DM.

Music sharing

With the integration with Amazon Music and Apple Music, users can share 30-second clips of a song to their friends into their Instagram DMs.

Enhanced tag feature

The enhanced tag feature allows you to tag all the collaborators and contributors in your post. This means you can give credit to all the people who are behind the scenes.

Scheduling Live in Instagram profile

With this new update, users can separate the Live from their stories or posts and schedule it on their profile. Additionally, profile will get a badge with information about the scheduled live.
