How to open Atal Pension Yojana account online using Aadhaar eKYC

Atal Pension Yojana, especially focused on the unorganised sector workers, is a government-backed pension scheme for Indian citizens.

Under the APY, subscribers will receive a guaranteed minimum pension of Rs. 1000 per month, Rs. 2000 per month, Rs. 3000 per month, Rs. 4000 per month, and Rs. 5000 per month, at the age of 60 years, depending on their contributions, which itself would be based on the age of joining the APY.

The minimum age for joining APY is 18 years and the maximum age is 40 years. Therefore, the minimum period of contribution by any subscriber under APY would be 20 years or more.

Any Citizen of India can join the Atal Pension Yojana scheme. Check here the eligibility criteria if you want to apply.

  • Your age should be between 18 – 40 years.
  • You should have a savings bank account or post office savings bank account.

Provide your Aadhaar and mobile number to the bank during registration to facilitate receipt of periodic updates on your Atal Pension Yojana account.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR eAPY ONLINE:

Step 1: Visit the NSDL website for the Online APY Subscriber Registration- https://enps.nsdl.com/eNPS/ApySubRegistration.html

Step 2: Fill up the registration details such as selecting a bank, entering the bank account number, e-mail ID, Aadhaar registered mobile number, and Upload Aadhaar Offline e-KYC XML File.

Step 3: Share the Code for your Paperless Offline eKYC.

Step 4: Finally, enter the Captcha and click on continue.

CHECK HERE HOW TO OPEN AN ATAL PENSION YOJANA ACCOUNT: OFFLINE

Step 1: First, you need to approach the bank branch or post office where you have your savings bank account. Otherwise, you have to open a savings account to avail the benefits of the Atal Pension Yojana.

Step 2: You need to provide your bank account number or post office savings bank account number.

Step 3: You have to fill up the Atal Pension Yojana registration form. You can seek help from the bank staff to fill it.

Step 4: You can provide your Aadhaar or mobile number. This is not mandatory, but you can provide it to facilitate the communication regarding contribution.

Step 5: Please ensure to keep the required balance in your savings bank account or post office savings bank account for the transfer of monthly or quarterly or half-yearly contributions based on your plan.
