Ramayan Yatra train from August 24: Check price, route, halts and how to book ticket via IRCTC

It will be a 20 days and 19 nights journey under the Bharat Gaurav tourist train — a government initiative to promote domestic tourism.

Ramayan Yatra train package, booking: The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced to run a luxury train that will take devotees of Lord Ram to places linked to his life. The ‘Shri Ramayan Yatra’ train will start from Delhi on August 24. 

It will be a 20 days and 19 nights journey under the Bharat Gaurav tourist train — a government initiative to promote domestic tourism. This would be the second train under the initiative. The train will be operated again on a similar circuit with some changes. The last such train was operated in June 2022 by IRCTC.

“IRCTC Ltd. offers ‘Shri Ramayana Yatra’ theme-based pilgrimage tour by Bharat Gaurav Tourist train on Ramayana circuit covering the prominent sacred places associated with the life of Lord Rama,” IRCTC said on its website while explaining about the journey.

The train will take through all prominent places linked to Lord Ram’s life — Ayodhya, Bhadrachalam, Chitrakoot, Hampi, Janakpur, Kanchipuram, Nandigram, Nashik, Prayagraj, Rameshwaram, Shringaverpur, Sitamarhi and Varanasi.

Tourists can book tickets in the Ramayan Yatra train online via IRCTC’s website.

The train will depart from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station on August 24. The luxury train will have 10 3A coaches to accommodate around 600 tourists.

The tourist train will also have a pantry car that will serve vegetarian meals top the passengers. Infotainment system, CCTV camera, security guard services shall also be available on board, IRCTC said.

The corporation is also offering 5 per cent discount for first 100 bookings of this Bharat Gaurav train tour.  IRCTC has also tied up with Paytm and Razorpay payment gateways for providing EMI payment options to the customers.

Ramayan Yatra train price, package

At a price range starting from Rs. 73,500/- per person, the IRCTC tourist train will be 20 days all-inclusive tour package. The all-inclusive package price will cover train journey in 3rd AC, Night stay at AC hotels, all meals (veg only), all transfer and sight-seeing in buses, travel Insurance and services of guide etc.

Users can avail EMI payment option for making payments in 3, 6, 9-, 12-, 18- or 24-month EMIs. These EMI payment options can be made through Debit/Credit Cards. Government/ PSU employees can avail LTC facility on this tour as per eligibility based on the guidelines issued by the government.
