In 2012, Dam made her Bollywood debut in Hate Story and also appeared in Vikram Bhatt’s Ankur Arora Murder Case, directed by Sohail Tatari. She tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Ankur Deb in Kolkata on December 4, 2017.

She then starred in the television show Gaaner Oparey in 2011. The show paid tribute to Rabindranath Tagore on the 150th birth anniversary. It was in Bapi Bari Jaa that she made her debut in movies in 2012.
