How to check whether your PAN card is linked with Aadhaar card

The government of India has recently made it mandatory to link the PAN card with the Aadhaar card for certain services, including filing the income tax return. The government has also updated the last date set to link the PAN with Aadhaar from 31 March 2022 to 31 March 2023 with a minimal penalty fee.

Aadhaar and PAN link after March 2022 penalty fee

People linking Aadhaar with PAN after the due date of 31 March 2022 will have to submit fines. If the Aadhaar link with PAN was done between 1 April 2022 and 30 June 2022, citizens had to pay Rs 500 as a fine.

But if you have still missed linking the two identification cards, then you can do it now but with a penalty fee of Rs 1,000 to link them between 1 July 2022 and 31 March 2023.

So if you have linked your Aadhaar Card with your PAN card but are unsure if the process has been completed, then you can check the status both online and offline to avoid penalty.
