IRCTC Update: Indian Railways Cancelled Over 150 Trains On September 2. Check Complete List

The Indian Railways has cancelled total of 225 trains fully and partially on September 2, while around 41 have been rescheduled or diverted due to multiple operational issues.

Delhi: The Indian Railways has announced that 155 trains have been fully cancelled on September 2, Friday, due to several operational and maintenance issues. Furthermore, according to the latest notification on the IRCTC website, about 70 trains are partially cancelled as well in wake of similar maintenance issues. The list of cancelled trains comprises trains running from several Indian cities like Kanpur, Bokaro Steel City, Pathankot, Jawlmukhi, Pune, Asansol, Azimganj, Gaya, Udhampur etc

Steps to check the full list of cancelled trains

1.  Visit indianrail.gov.in/mntes and select the date of journey
2.  Next, select Exceptional Trains on the top panel of the screen
3.  Click on Cancelled Trains option
4. Select Fully or Partially option to see full list of trains with time, routes and other details as per requirement

Citing reasons of derailment, natural causes and other maintenance and operations, the Indian Railways have also changed schedules of around 41 trains so far that were scheduled to depart today. Out of these 41 trains, 11 have been rescheduled and 30 have been diverted.

Now, the Indian Railways also allows for checking live trains running status.

Steps to check live train running status:

1. Visit the official website https://www.irctchelp.in/live-train-running-status/
2. Enter the train number on the text box provided.
3. Choose or enter the date in the DD-MM-YYYY format.
4.  Press Search button to get the result on tabular format
5. To check via SMS – Send SMS as SMS ‘AD (Train Number) ‘ to 139
6. For contacting Indian Railway Enquiry Number call 139
