CLOSING BELL: Sensex, Nifty Lose 7-Day Gaining Momentum After Diwali, Falls Below Muhurat Trade Gains

BSE Sensex ended 287.70 points 0.48 per cent down at 59,543.96 and NSE Nifty ended 74.40 points or 0.42 per cent down at 17,656.35.

Mumbai: The Indian stock markets have once again ended in red after a seven-day gaining momentum that started October 14. Even though the Muhurat Trading of Samvat 2079 yesterday went well for the Indian exchanges, it lost the sheen in the regular trading that followed today.
