Bharti Airtel launched 5G Plus services in Gurugram on Tuesday.
MG Road, Rajiv Chowk, Iffco Chowk, Atlas Chowk, Udyog Vihar, Nirvana Country, Gurugram train station, Civil lines, Ardee city, Huda city centre, Gurugram National Highway, and a few other select areas are presently offering Airtel 5G services.
Airtel promised to expand its network and make its services available throughout the city as soon as possible.
“Airtel customers in Gurugram can now experience ultrafast network and enjoy speeds upto 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds,” said Nidhi Lauria, CEO, Bharti Airtel, Delhi-NCR.
Bharti Airtel network users will be able to access Airtel 5G Plus services in phases as the company builds up its network and completes the roll out.
In addition to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, and Varanasi, Airtel launched 5G services prior to Gurugram.
Customers with 5G-supported phones can use the fast Airtel 5G Plus network without paying any additional fees while the rollout is still in its early stages.
As the telecom provider gradually introduces 5G services, Bharti Airtel said earlier this month that it had reached the milestone of one million unique 5G users on its network.
Since the current Airtel 4G SIM supports 5G, there is no need to switch out the SIM.
Airtel 5G Plus will allow superfast access to high-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more.
