PM-Kisan: Know the charges for eKYC under the scheme

Like other flagship schemes of the government, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana or PM-Kisan also requires eKYC of beneficiaries to ensure that they get the benefits of the programme.

According to the DBT Agriculture Bihar website “It is mandatory for the beneficiaries to get eKYC done under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, otherwise they will be deprived of the benefits of the scheme.”

PM Kisan eKYC charges

Beneficiaries, on the other hand, can submit eKYC online and online. It should be noted that there may be a charge of Rs 15 for eKYC updation via biometric method from their nearest CSC/Vasudha location.

“eKYC beneficiaries can do their own Aadhaar link from PM-Kisan portal through OTP from mobile number or can do eKYC through biometric method from their nearest CSC/Vasudha center for which a fee of Rs.15 has been fixed by the Government of India,“ the website said.

Though, there is no longer a deadline for submitting the eKYC, it is still required in order to receive the benefit.

Steps to update PM Kisan eKYC:

Step 1: First of All Visit pmkisan.gov.in

Step 2: Click on Pm Kisan Ekyc

Step 3: Enter Your Aadhaar Number and Captcha Code

Step 4: Click on Search

Step 5: Enter mobile number then enter OTP received on mobile linked with Aadhaar

Step 6: Click on “Submit For Auth”

Your PM Kisan Ekyc will be successful if the information there matches Aadhaar, and the kyc update will be finished.

Benefits of the scheme

The benefit will be provided in three equal installments of Rs. 2000/- each for every 4 months period into the bank account of all eligible beneficiaries.

Mandatory information required

The following information and documents are required for enrollment under PM-Kisan Scheme

• Name, Age, Gender and Category (SC/ST)

• Aadhaar Number

• Bank Account Number and IFSC Code

• Mobile number – though it is not mandatory, but it is advised that when available it may be provided so that the information related to transfer of benefit can be communicated.
