Gold, Silver Prices Today: 26 January 2023- Check latest rates in your city

The gold and silver prices remained steady on Republic Day- January 26, 2023 (Thursday). Gold futures, maturing on February 3, 2023, stood at Rs 57,005 per 10 grams on the MCX, after recording a marginal rise of Rs 36 or 0.06 percent.

Similarly, silver futures, maturing on March 3, 2023, witnessed a rise of Rs 203or 0.30percent and were retailing at 68,745 per kg on the MCX.

Notably, the prices of gold and silver stood at Rs 56,969 per 10 grams and Rs 68,542 per kg respectively when the market closed on January 25.

Gold, silver in international markets

On Thursday, gold prices hit a nine-month high before trading steady. Spot gold was trading at $1,944.96 per ounce, as of 0244 GMT, after hitting its highest since April2022. U.S. gold futures were up 0.2% at $1,945.60.

The dollar index held steady but hovered near an eight-month low. [USD/], reported Reuters.

Spot silver fell 0.2% to $23.85 per ounce, platinum lost 0.4% to $1,035.16, and palladium was down 0.2% to $1,695.29.
