Gold, silver prices today, March 9 – Check rates in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and other cities

Gold, silver prices today, March 9: The prices of both the precious metals – gold and silver declined in the early trade on March 9 (Thursday) on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) in India.

The Gold futures, maturing on April 5, 2023 declined by 0.28 per cent or Rs 152 to stand at Rs 54,870 per 10 grams on the MCX at around 8 AM on March 9.

The prices of silver too witnessed decline today as the silver futures expiring on May 5, 2023 dropped by 0.51 per cent or Rs 316 to stand at Rs 61, 890 per kilogram on Thursday at around 8 AM.

Gold, silver prices on March 8

Both gold and silver settled at Rs 55, 022, and at Rs 62, 206, respectively on the previous trading day close on March 8 (Thursday).

Gold, silver prices today March 9 in international market

Spot gold was nearly flat at $1,813.85 per ounce after hitting its lowest since Feb. 28 at $1,809.27. U.S. gold futures settled 0.1 per cent lower at $1,818.60. The dollar hovered near multi-month highs, making gold more expensive for overseas buyers. Silver dipped 0.1 per cent to 20.04 per ounce, platinum firmed 0.9 per cent to $937.76 and palladium dropped 1.4% to $1,367.33.
