  Ola S1 Holi Edition unveiled

–         Gets multicolour bodywork

–         Only five models will be made

Ola Electric is planning to sell an extremely limited edition e-scooter in India. This e-scooter will be sold as a Holi edition, and only five units of it will be sold.

According to a tweet by the company’s CEO, this limited-edition model will have many bright colours on the bodywork. However, it is still unclear whether the tweeted image is a computer render or an actual model manufactured inside the factory.  This new special edition is part of a competition that the brand is currently running on social media. The owners that share the best picture or video of their Holi celebrations will get one limited edition model. However, whether these owners would have to pay to acquire this unique edition model is still unclear.

Currently, the Ola S1 is sold with two battery options — a 2kWh and a 3kWh. Both these models get the same 5.5kWh motor, but the top speed is limited to 90kmph for the lower version and 95kmph for the second variant. Ola claims the smaller battery pack can offer a 91km range, and the 3kWh unit can cover 141km (ARAI). The features and hardware are the same for the entire S1 range. Both scooters have LED illumination, a seven-inch TFT screen, smartphone connectivity, navigation, music playback, three ride modes (eco, normal, and sport), reverse mode, remote boot lock/unlock, and OTA updates. The single front shock and rear monoshock also remain unaltered.

We can expect Ola Electric to develop more such limited edition models. It is an excellent way to build excitement and keep things fresh around its scooters.
