IndusInd Bank customers can now pay income tax using bank’s website; bank integrates with CBDT TIN 2.0

IndusInd Bank has successfully integrated with the Income Tax Department’s latest tax payment platform—TIN2.0. The lender was authorized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) appointed bank as an agency bank to collect taxes on behalf of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

“IndusInd Bank is authorised by RBI and O/o Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance, Government of India for collection of Income Tax and other Direct Taxes on behalf of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). IndusInd Bank is now integrated with the newly launched e-Filing portal (CBDT TIN 2.0),” according to InduInd Bank website.

The bank’s customers will now be able to pay their direct taxes through IndusInd Bank’s retail or corporate net banking platform, or at any branch using cash, cheque, or demand draft. With the integration of TIN2.0, IndusInd Bank’s customers will no longer have to visit Income Tax Department’s website to make payments.

Instead, they can use the bank’s digital platforms or visit their nearest branch to make the payment. This new integration is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to provide seamless and efficient banking services to its customers.

How to pay direct taxes on IndusInd Bank website:

As per new process, bank’s customers have to generate challan on Income Tax Portal (TIN 2.0) with their PAN/TAN details.

The tax payment can be initiated via several payment modes including Internet Banking – Retail Channel (IndusNet) Internet Banking – Corporate Channel (IndusDIRECT) Branch Channel i.e. Pay at Bank Counter – at all IndusInd Bank branches (Cash, Cheque, DD of any Bank) over the Counter challan payments.
