New Delhi: India’s largest telecom operator – Reliance Jio – announced a new set of broadband plans. The Rs 198 plan which offers unlimited data at a speed of 10 MBPS, is the cheapest plan in the industry. It is offering seven new plans and has revamped two existing plans. The plans range from Rs 198 to Rs 1499. Most of the plans are bundled with OTT apps and live TV channels.

These new plans seem to be targeting cable/DTH users, which means that the total addressable market increases for Jio. There are more than 4.5 cr cable users and more than 6.5 cr DTH users, who spend an average of Rs 150 to Rs 200 per month.
