‘Biye Bibhrat’ trailer: Abir Chatterjee, Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Lahoma Bhattacharya’s rom-com brings a breath of fresh air

The official trailer of Raja Chanda’s upcoming rom-com ‘Biye Bibhrat’ brings a breath of fresh air to Tollywood with its subtle humour. The trailer gives a sneak peek into a love triangle between the protagonists played by Abir Chatterjee, Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Lahoma Bhattacharya.

The entertaining trailer starts with Sakya (Abir), a musician cum YouTuber, meeting Mohor (Lahama) at an arranged marriage ceremony. Sakya is fascinated by Mohor’s unrequited romance with her music teacher Chondromouli (Parambrata). He plans elaborate schemes in order to unite the two for a fairytale love story. And, here comes the twist when Sakya, while helping the two, himself starts growing his feelings for Mohor. What happens next forms the crux of the story. The film also stars Rohit Mukherjee, Sudipa Basu, Anjana Mukherjee, Sreya Dutta, and Riya Roy in important roles.

Speaking about the freshness of the story, an excited Abir said that after a long time, he has been offered a fresh idea that he liked instantly. According to the actor, everyone has some ideas regarding marriage and its complicacy, and ‘Biye Bibhrat’ shares some unique experiences from a different perspective that’s not too preachy.

Lahoma who made her debut opposite Jeet in the action entertainer ‘Raavan’ will be seen as the love interest of Abir and Parambrata in Raja Chanda’s film and she’s pretty much excited to be a part of the film. Lahoma shared that she had a great experience shooting for the film with Abir and Param. Lahoma found the script quite unique.

Incidentally, not only acting but Parambrata, who is producing ‘Biye Bibhrat’, has also penned the story of the film. The popular actor revealed that he altered a few parts of the story, which was first conceptualized way back in 2015-2016. He made some changes to the script keeping in mind our evolution not just in terms of physical age but mental as well but the fundamentality of the film remained the same.

‘Biye Bibhrat’ is set to release in theatres on July 14.
