WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Singh Summoned By Delhi Court Over Sexual Misconduct Changes

New Delhi: Wrestling Federation of India Chief Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has been summoned by Delhi’s Rose Avenue court on July 18 over the sexual allegation charges levied against him by athletes. The court while issuing the summon said there was enough evidence against the accused to continue the proceedings. The court has also issued a summon to Vinod Tomar, the Assistant Secretary of Brij Bhushan Singh.

Earlier, the Delhi Police filed a chargesheet against Singh on June 15 with charges of sexual harassment, criminal intimidation and stalking. Delhi police’s action against the WFI Chief came after the wrestlers’ month-long protest at Jantar Mantar.

Brij Bhushan Singh has denied all the charges against him including the allegations made by a minor wrestler under which a separate FIR has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
