AU Small Finance Bank’s 24×7 video banking offers face-to-face interactions with video bankers, much like video calls. The service ensures round-the-clock support, even on weekends and holidays.

AU Small Finance Bank Limited (AU Bank), the country’s largest small finance bank, has become the first financial services provider in India to launch a 24×7 live video banking service. The video banking service allows customers to have live video interactions with bankers at all times and on all days.

“AU’s 24×7 Video Banking extends the reach of banking services to areas with limited infrastructure and resources, offering a convenient and personalised banking experience that addresses the needs of tech-savvy millennials, new to banking customers, busy professionals, and senior citizens alike,” the bank said in a press release.

The bank previously had a video banking platform but AU Bank has now expanded the service for round-the-clock coverage.

Customers will be able to take advantage of real time services like demographic updates, financial transactions, opening of new accounts, inquiries for financial services like credit cards and loans as well as troubleshooting for any other issues.

The bank hopes that the service will be a great boon to working professionals, senior citizens and other groups who are often unable to make the necessary trek to bank branches due to other commitments with work. The video banking service is also expected to make it easier for those living in rural areas to conveniently avail banking services as long as they have an internet connection.

Enhanced security and diverse benefits

AU Small Finance Bank employs advanced measures like encryption, facial recognition, OTP, and video validation to safeguard transactions. All confidential information for each customer during the video calls is similarly encrypted and protected. The customers can use the video banking platform without worrying about data leaks or frauds.
