Next stock market holiday on August 15: BSE, NSE to remain closed on Independence Day | Check full list of share market, MCX, currency derivative market holidays in 2023

Next stock market holiday: In light of India’s 76th Independence Day celebration, the country’s bourses are set to remain shut on August 15, 2023. According to the BSE holiday calendar, both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE), along with their derivatives and Securities, Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segments, will pause trading on Tuesday.

The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), too, will remain closed for both the morning and evening sessions.

This means that, including the weekly Saturday and Sunday holidays, the BSE and NSE will be working for just four days this week. Notably, all trading segments on the exchanges, as well as the MCX, will also be on holiday on August 30, in lieu of the Rakshabandhan holiday.

Stock Market Holidays for 2023 – Equity Segment, Equity Derivative Segment and SLB Segment

According to the trading holidays calendar provided by the BSE, the exchanges in India will be closed on 15 days in 2023. Of these, 8 holidays are already past.
